Azeez brace sees Reading FC defeat relegation rivals Charlton – Reading Today Online

READING FC earned three more valuable points with a home victory over League One relegation rivals Charlton Athletic.

The win lifts Reading up to 18th spot and pits them three points clear of the drop zone after Azeez netted twice to help his team to a 2-0 success.

DAVID BUTTON 6: Made a strong stop at a crucial time in the second-half. Back to back clean sheets.

ANDY YIADOM 8: Absolutely solid. His brilliant recent run of form continues, as does the team’s.

AMADOU MBENGUE 8: His best performance of the season. Set the tone from early on and his long throws are becoming a real weapon. T

TYLER BINDON 7: Made one exceptional tackle on the box on Alfie May in the first-half which almost certainly prevented a goal.

CLINTON MOLA 6: Not quite as solid as he was on Tuesday and gave the ball away a few times. Taken off for Dorsett on the hour mark.

CHARLIE SAVAGE 7: He’s finding a nice run of form in the team. Caused problems with his set-piece delivery, got stuck in and played some defence splitting passes.

LEWIS WING 7: Ran the show in the middle alongside Savage. Such an important player to the side when he’s in top form.

HARVEY KNIBBS 6: Always lively although he couldn’t contribute too often in attack to break Charlton down.

FEMI AZEEZ 8: Stayed alive to slam home the opener and then scored an absolute stunner on the volley for the second.

KELVIN EHIBHATIOMHAN 6: Wasn’t able to provide the same threat down the left as he has in the last two games which has forced him into the starting 11. Worked hard throughout.

SAM SMITH 6: Hasn’t found his goal scoring touch for a while. Had two half chances in the first-half and forced saves from the keeper. Always energetic and making runs in behind.
