Woodley United Ladies moved up to third place in the division in a match that saw them score twice late in the second-half.
The Flyers kicked off and were immediately on the defensive when May Hamblin fired wide of their goal in the first minute.
Although Woodley enjoyed the better of possession and territory during the opening 20 minutes they produced little in terms of shots on goal to trouble visiting keeper Shannon White.
However, it was a mistake by White from a back pass by Charlotte Warhurst following a United clearance that allowed Saj Turner to intercept the ball and score into an unguarded net in the 28th minute.
The period following the restart saw Woodley awarded a number of free-kicks, one of which saw Gemma Simms’ kick beat the Winchester wall, but was comfortably handled by White.
A Woodley corner in the 37th minute saw White parry Simms’ header which was cleared to safety to leave United with a single goal lead at half-time.
As the second half progressed, Flyers enjoyed more possession in the home half of the pitch which in turn emboldened them to look for an equalising goal which they scored in the 75th minute.
Charlie Snelling took a free-kick just inside Woodley’s half which reached Annie Northwood, who controlled the ball and turned to shoot low from the edge of the penalty area into the inside of Sophie Measham’s left hand goal post.
With three minutes remaining both teams were reduced to ten players following an off the ball incident.
United responded better to the dismissals and took the lead in the first minute of stoppage time. Shayne Prasad passed the ball across her own back four only for Bonnie Messitt to intercept it and shoot from 20 yards to White’s left and into the net.
Three minutes later following a short corner kick, Woodley were awarded a free-kick from which saw Kate Hudson score her first goal for the team by lifting her kick over White and underneath the cross bar and far post.
