WOKINGHAM PONY CLUB were able to celebrate success as their members achieved the status as Reserve Champions at the JCB Pony Club National Championships.
Competing at Warwickshire, the Wokingham branch of the Pony Club are hoping to build on their success of a podium finish in their first attempt after their team delivered an exceptional performance.
The team was made up of members aged between nine to 14. Sienna Cook, Emma Donaldson, Elsea Fearon, Jess Ingham, Sam Ingham, Isabella MacKay, Teddy MacKay, Elsie Nichol, Olivia Turner and Evelyn Turner completed the squad.
The team who competed in the Musical Ride performed the Top Gun themed routine.
District commissioner Julie Browne said: “All the families worked together with one of our coaches, Alex van Randwyck, to develop the floorplan and work on the music.
“The mums all planned the costumes, with Olivia and Evelyn’s grandmother even sewing the rugs from scratch.
“The team delivered a flawless performance on the day and needless to say they are very keen to do this again next year.”
Wokingham Branch of the Pony Club are based out of the Pony Club Field in Barkham.
The branch was founded in 1974 and will celebrate its 50th Anniversary next year.
