READING FC will be hoping to avoid a cup shock when they travel to non-league side Eastleigh in the FA second-round on Sunday.
Playing in front of the TV cameras, the game will be broadcast live on ITV One (1.30pm) kick-off.
The Royals, who saw off MK Dons 3-2 in the first-round, go into the game bottom of the League One table, but with a slight upturn in form having won their last two matches.
Reading won their first league away match in more than a year with victory at Wycombe Wanderers before they defeated Carlisle United at home on Tuesday night.
The Royals last faced non-league opposition in the FA Cup when they made an away trip to Kidderminster Harriers in 2022 and suffered a humiliating 2-1 defeat.
Meanwhile, Eastleigh currently occupy 11th spot in the National League having picked up 30 points with eight wins, six draws and eight defeats.
The Spitfires made it through the first-round of the competition with a thumping victory over fellow National League side Boreham Wood.
Nigel Atangana gave Eastlieh the lead before Matt Robinson levelled up a minute later for Boreham.
The hosts quickly reestablished their lead and ran out as comfortable 5-1 winners thanks to braces from both Chris Maguire and Ludwig Francillette, despite playing the final 20 minutes with 10 players after Jayden Harris was sent off.
Since that FA Cup win, Easleigh have managed two more wins, a draw and a defeat.
They backed up their cup success with a league victory over Boreham and also defeated Altrincham, but lost out at league leaders Chesterfield last weekend.
Sunday’s cup tie will be the first ever time that Reading and Eastleigh have met each other in a competitive fixture.
Predicted Reading line-up: Periera, Guinness-Walker, Holmes, Abbey, Yiadom, Hutchinson, Savage, Elliott, Vickers, Ehibhatiomhan, Smith
